Niki Sandoval, PhD (鈥�93)
Niki Sandoval, PhD ('93) serves as a Trustee at the Santa Barbara Foundation, which exists to improve the lives of the residents and communities throughout Santa Barbara County.
Currently, she is a lecturer in the Education Department at the University of California, Santa Barbara (UCSB) and engages undergraduate students in the examination of equity issues in education. Niki has also served two terms as a member of the California State Board of Education (2013-2020) and hopes to improve educational outcomes for each student and build empathetic, inclusive, and resilient communities.
As a first-generation college student, Niki says, "I have received. I am compelled to give."
