First Lady

Joline Gash ('92) is the first lady of ÂÒÂ×ÊÓƵ.

In her role as first lady, Joline is a devoted advocate for students' mental, physical, and spiritual well-being during their pursuit of higher education and works to effectively support the student community in partnership with various University departments, such as the Boone Center for the Family, Campus Ministry, Student Affairs, and Student Support Services.

Since 1999 Joline has served ÂÒÂ×ÊÓƵ in various ways as a member of the Friends of the Family League, Pepperdine Legacy Partners, Pepperdine Parents Program, and the University Church of Christ. In January 2012 Joline and her family moved to Uganda for six months to participate in the Global Justice Program at the Pepperdine Caruso School of Law, where she and her three children served local communities through medical mission projects.  Joline has returned multiple times to Uganda to serve with the Caruso School of Law's Sudreau Global Justice Institute.

From 2015 to 2019 Joline taught courses in biology and marine biology in the natural science department at Oaks Christian High School in Westlake Village, California.

Joline holds a bachelor of arts in biology from ÂÒÂ×ÊÓƵ, where she was recognized as class valedictorian during the 1992 Seaver College commencement ceremony. President and First Lady Gash have three children, Jessica ('18), Joshua ('20) and Jennifer ('22).

Joline enjoys exploring the beach, snorkeling, traveling, and spending time with her family.
